Emerson Group

  • Intro'd to Free Culture at a class in Emerson
  • Emerson is a media and communications school
  • Prof Eric gordon - taught class on Studies in Digital Media and Culture.
  • Currently working on a 'craiglist' for the school
  • Also trying to educate the community on the problems of copyright
    • Public knowledge has material, can try to get from there

UK Groups

  • Nelson will set up mailing list for the UK:
  • Matt has a contact with a UK t-shirt printer
  • Nelson will give Tshirt contacts to Matt so he can print if he can print tshirts in UK if needed
  • Nelson will give UK contacts to Matt

Youth vs Students Organization debate

Should we be a Student or Youth Group?

  • UK - many youths not in college
  • Germany - more community oriented
  • We want to be inclusive
  • need to define student/youth
  • Qn: Why just youth? Why not FC movement?
  • Nelson's reply: FC.o started as a student group; we need a unique, independent voice
