It's a great movie that everyone should see, to understand why opposing media consolidation is vital.

Incidentally, it's also a great demonstration of the free culture values that the SCDC promotes.

The copyright radicals are doing everything in their power to prevent something like Outfoxed from happening. They would like to require you to ask permission before using clips from a news show (permission which would never be granted if you are doing a critical documentary). They would like to build Digital Rights Management into the hardware of your TV which could prevent you from recording or sharing video off of, say, Fox News, which would make a documentary like Outfoxed physically impossible. They would like to make it illegal to build devices or write software to circumvent such DRM, and to a large extent, under the Digital Millenium Copyright Act of 1998, they already have. In short, Outfoxed is a case study in why free culture is important, and why the SCDC is relevant to anyone who is in favor of freedom of speech.
