Prometheus Radio

Prometheus Radio is community radio. We do Radio Farmraisings, where we learn and teach radio skills. We use low power FM and free licenses from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). We recently set up Radio Free Nashville. Lots of communities, such as immigrants, can't take the risk of breaking the law. 100 watt radio will transmit between 5 and 15 miles. The license was established in 2000 for small community stations or nonprofit organizations like churches.
There are synergies between Free Culture and low power FM: Audacity sessions, sharing the knowledge of technology. Demystify technology. For theses, research something like "Measuring the impact of community radio economically". This research would help the low power FM movement, but they don't have the time or funds. Students do.
Work on high legislation, and low groundworking. The first place for culture and communication is networking with the community.
