Although many activist organizations have arisen to protect and promote free culture (including the EFF, FSF, and Creative Commons), for true change in the system, we must look to the future -- the youth of the world. None of the existing organizations have done enough to reach out to and organize students, so it's time for us students to take the matter into our own hands. Students have a great deal of power over the established instutitutions of society, and a strong student movement could enact incredible social change. If we can win the hearts and minds of the next generation, the vested interests will slowly and inexorably become irrelevant. Here’s how we intend to build a robust student movement for free culture:

1. We explain the facts: What is open source? What are smart mobs? What are the problems with the current copyright regime?
2. We advocate for free culture on
   • ideological grounds (e.g. helping your neighbor)
   • practical grounds (e.g. free market competition reduces prices)
3. We explain exactly how you can support free culture, providing tutorials and hand-holding, and generally making free culture easy
4. We help you organize in your community to fight for free culture.

Everyone is welcome, young or old, but our focus is organizing on high school and college campuses. Together, we have the potential to become a revolutionary force for creativity and innovation.
